RALEIGH, N.C. (July 8, 2008) - Three Triangle companies will come together July 11 to raise funds for the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities (TLCDD). The event will take place inside the Cameron Village Moxie Kids boutique from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Activities include face painting by Paint Savvy, a Durham-based family entertainment company, for donations ranging from $5-12. In addition, LocoPops Gourmet Frozen Pops, located on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, will offer its unique frozen treats for a $2 donation. All proceeds will benefit the TLCDD.
"The people at the Tammy Lynn Center inspire me with their dedication to their clients and the overall mission," says Penny Ashley-Lawrence, co-owner of Moxie Kids. "I can see that they get as much out of their work as they put into it.
In its 39th year, the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities remains committed to providing educational, residential and therapeutic services to children and adults with special needs.
"We are so pleased to have this opportunity to share who we are in such a fun, lighthearted way," says Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities. "While we take our mission seriously, we want people to know we can be a great place to visit and support-what better way then this?"
